Back again :)

Hello, once again.
We had a great Easter once again this year. We celebrated by going to church in Braintree in the morning, the dinner at Gammy's in Carver. It was especially good, especially since I dodn't have
to cook :) Donny was so great and made 10 pounds of potatoes for me since I was exhausted.

We also booked our wedding date. It's set for 8/27/2010, on a Friday night. We're getting married in Braintree and are having our reception at the Monponsett Inn in Halifax. It's really nice there and it's right on the water for some great pics.

I am almost 29 weeks pregnant! It's flying by! I'm getting big, though not as big as last time. Yet. And hopefully not :)

Kayleigh is in her big girl bed now. It's Tinkerbell. She adjusted very well to it and never gave us a problem. Next on the list is potty training and throwing out those binkies! (Yes, she still uses hers to sleep).

We went to Grampy's in Kansas for vaca on May 1st. We had a lot of fun :) Kayleigh LOVES animals. ALL animals. Even the baby goats. She fed one with a bottle. How cute is that?!
We also had a great Mother's Day. My dad sent wonderful flowers. Donny and Kayleigh let me sleep in. We went to Castle Island. It was extremely windy. We saw the airplanes and boats. Went to the park. Had a yummy ice cream. We stopped by Donny's grandparent's on the way home and celebrated there as well :)
Here's some pics :)

Some updates...

I'm really awful at this blog thing....
I have a funny story to share. Today, after food shopping, Kayleigh and I were being lazy and eating sherbert while sitting on the couch. A commercial for Gummy Vitamins came on and I said to her, "You have those." She seemed to be ignoring me so I repeated myself a few times.

Finally she looks at me with this look that she gives and says, "WHAT!!!"
I just started laughing and she say's, "What'd you say??"
Ohhh, it was just one of those priceless moments.
These are some of the reasons why I need to really keep at my blog. Or at least by a journal. I don't want to forget these moments. Kayleigh really is a character these days. Just some things come out of her mouth and I'm, like 'what!'!

She is super duper polite lately. She always says please, always says thank you. She also says bless you when you sneeze and excuse me if she needs to get by.
She is also quite dramatic as well. She has this small scrape on her knee from like last week when she fell outside. She still looks at it and complains that she needs a band-aid. She cringes when you put the band-aid near her because she doesn't want her boo-boo to hurt again.

Below are some pics. They are from Disney. (Check out my preggo belly!)
Enjoy!!!

Wow, I'm awful at keeping up a blog!

I don't really know what keeps me from blogging. I think that since Donny is still laid off, we're used to sleeping in late. I'm still working nights, so I don't get home until late. When I do get home, I just want to hop in bed!

So, we're going to Disney in less than 2 weeks! I'm so excited. I'm going to start to get Kayleigh's suitcase ready this week. She always talks about Disney! I wonder how she will be when we get there. The good news is is that I can go on rides with her, so I'm really excited about that!

Kayleigh has been aso funny lately. I have to get some video of her. She does this funny dance when it looks like she's doing the backwards running man/ moonwalk. It's literally the funniest thing ever. She knows it a riot too! She also gotten to really know what mine and Donny's name are. So when she's in a silly mood, she say in either a high funny voice or in a deep voice, our names. We say, "No, it's mommy and daddy!"

Donny really needs to stop swearing so much because that's another thing she's picking up on. She'll usually say the f word at the right time!

Kayleigh had a blast when her Grampy came to visit from Kansas. He babysat her one night and they watched Happy Feet about 5 times until 9:30pm!

Baby Donny is doing great! I had my BIG ultrasound where that check for everything. I'm now 18 weeks, 6 days. Baby Donny was estimated at a whopping 9 ounces! That's the 47th percentile. A big difference from Kayleigh who was always in at least the 90th if not 100th percentile! His heart looks great. His kidneys show no problems like Kayleigh's did. This pregnancy is so different than last! My placenta is in the front so I haven't felt too much movement yet. I thought I was doing really well at not gaining too much weight. I had only gained 6 pounds by my 16 week checkup. Ugh, I got weighed yesterday and it said I gained a whopping 6 pounds in 3 weeks! What?! I couldn't believe especially since I've been watching my weight here at home. Apparently we need a new scale. I can't wait for spring to go back to the park and just get outdoors. Go away snow!!

We're also going to visit my Dad on May 1st. That will be so fun. Kayleigh is excited to see Grampy's horses :)

Also, I received my Bachelor's degree in the mail a few days ago. I'm pretty proud of myself :)

Yet, another baby update!

We had an NT scan on Wednesday. It's a test that measures the fluid in the back of the baby's neck. If the measurement is higher, it's a pretty good sign of Down Syndrome. We also had this test done with Kayleigh, and her's came back way abnormal. So, after a million test, well maybe only like 4, we realized she was fine. No DS, no heart problem and no rare genetic disorder. So, anyways, we repeated the test again with this baby, and the results came back as normal.

During the test in the beginning, Donny asked the ultrasound tech if she could tell the baby's sex. (I was only 12 weeks, 5 days at the time.) The lady says, "Gosh no, it's way too early to tell!" Less than a minute later she says, "Wait, do you want to know?" We both said yes and she said,
"It's a boy!"
We're very happy. He's going to be Donald the 3rd. Kayleigh calls my belly, "Baby Donny". It's the cutest thing! I think she's grasping the concept somewhat!

Baby Update!

I had my 12 week. I heard the baby's heartbeat. It was very strong. The second she put the doppler on my stomach you could hearthe heartbeat.

Since Kayleigh was such a big baby, 10 pounds 14 ounces, my new doctor's will be giving me the diabetes test twice rather than once. My 1st test in February 9th. I have to drink this really gross sugary type soda, and they check my blood. If my levels are high it's gestational diabetes and I'll have to go on a special diet. If I pass, I'll be retested again at 7 months.

I will be monitered throughout this pregnancy with extra ultrasounds. Kayleigh has hydronephrosis, which is when fluid is backed up into her kidneys. (Actually we had an appointment at Children's Hospital yesterday for an ultrasound for her, and her right kidney is now normal, and the left is getting much better. Great news!!!) So, they want to keep an eye out on this baby to make sure nothing is up with the kidney's.

Also, I think I may try for a VBAC. Not totally sure yet. They will also be checking to see how big the baby is with ultrasounds towards the end of my pregnancy. If the baby is measuring almost 10 pounds or more again, I'll just go for another c-section. If the baby is say, 8 or 9 pounds, I'll try for a regular birth. We'll see.

So, that's about it!

New babies everywhere!

It's been an exciting week for our friends!

My friend Katelyn had a baby girl, Adriana, on January 2nd. She is an adorable newborn and is very alert. She loves to keep her mommy up at nightime :) We went and visited them at their new home on Sunday and I brought over a nice lasagna dinner. Wasn't that nice of me?! LOL. We had fun! When I held the baby Kayleigh started yelling, "No baby, mommy! No baby!"
Congratulations Katelyn and Kevin! Adriana is georgous!

So, of course I was petrified, with our new baby due in July. I was just imagining the future!

Also, our friends Katelynne and Chris welcomed a new baby on January 10th, Aiden. He was a bit early and weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces. He is a cutie. We visited them in the hospital on Monday and were there for a few hours. Can you believe in a few hours I didn't hear Aiden cry once! What a sweet baby he is. He has 2 big sisters, Savannah, and Ava, who is just 13 months older than Aiden. We're going to make plans to visit them at home soon. Oh, and Kayleigh didn't mind when I held Aiden. Whoopee!
Congrats Katelynne, Chris, Savannah, and Ava!

As for me, I'm 11 weeks 4 days pregnant. Only about 28 weeks left to go! I got a baby bump the other day. It sort of just popped! I'm feeling a lot better. No more vomiting or nausea. I'm still pretty fatigued. I'm going for a checkup tomorrow. I hope I can hear the baby's heartbeat!
